About Me

Peggy Blaylock, LCSW, CSAC, MSW

Welcome! I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. If you’re ready to dig deep, sort through the “stuff” that’s holding you back, and move toward healing and freedom, you’re in the right place.

I’m Peggy Blaylock, and I’ve been walking alongside individuals for over 20 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, Certified Telehealth Specialist, and Professional Coach. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University, but it’s the people I’ve worked with — your stories — that have truly shaped how I show up for this work.

Let’s get real: I’m not here to just nod along. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and jump into the tough stuff with you. Therapy isn’t always easy, but it’s the good kind of hard — the kind that makes room for joy, laughter, and maybe even some tears along the way. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as you uncover the truth about who you are and where you want to go.

I lean into models and theories that honor the complexity of your story.  Relational Therapy and Narrative Therapy are at the heart of my work. I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to round things out. Each session is tailored to meet you where you are, offering a mix of tools and insights to help you grow.

Clients often tell me they feel seen and valued in our time together. I bring warmth, humor, and straight talk into the room because healing isn’t just about feeling better — it’s about becoming more whole. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, tackling old wounds, or just figuring out the next step, I’m here to help you find clarity, resilience, and the strength you already have within.

If you’re ready to take that first step, let’s connect. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on this journey. Take care of yourself — you deserve it.

Warmly,

Peggy
